Maryland’s Conrad 30 program full for 2012

The State of Maryland has filled all it’s J-1 waiver spots for 2012.  The Maryland J-1 Visa Waiver fiscal year begins October 1 and ends September 30.

The Maryland Primary Care Office (PCO) reviews applications and makes recommendations to the U.S. Department of State for foreign born physicians requesting waivers from their J-1 Visa, which requires them to return to their home country for two years at the end of their medical training. The waiver is granted in exchange for the physician’s agreement to work in a federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) or Medically Underserved Areas (MUAs) of the state for three years.
