Tech Workers’ Spouses Ready, Eager to Work Under New Immigration Rules

The Seattle Times reports that the spouses of some immigrant tech workers whose visas haven’t allowed them to work in the U.S. may soon be able to apply for work permits under an executive order on immigration. Not all spouses will be eligible- their working partner must have been approved to apply for a green card- but for those whose spouse’s application is under way, they will no longer have to wait for the U.S. government to issue both partners permanent legal status.
