Proving to be a major hot topic in current political debates gearing up for the 2016 presidential election, businesses from tech to agriculture are making claims for immigration reform. According to CNN Money, the hospitality industry cannot find enough employees for labor intensive jobs, two-thirdsĀ of construction companies are suffering from labor shortages, the tech industry is struggling to retain high skilled employees as they face a backlog of working visas, and farmer’s lack sufficient workers to pick crops, even after offering wages of $30 an hour. Immigration reform will continue to be discussed throughout the political campaigns.
